Safety brief and review of gun safety rules. Assessment and refinement of gun handling skills including ready positions, draw stroke, loading, unloading, tactical and emergency reloads and clearing malfunctions.

You’ll test and confirm RDS zero. Followed by a cold drill assessment of your pistol shooting fundamentals to set a baseline for your current skill set. We’ll identify strengths and areas for development.

You’ll work drills that hone core pistol fundamentals including stance, grip and vision for target focused shooting running irons or optic. You’ll begin to build consistency and repeatability into your technique.

You’ll be introduced to more dynamic pistol shooting with multiple target transitions and movement drills, all on a timer to push you to shoot with urgency. You’ll also work at more challenging distances beyond 15 yds.

FAQs
How long is the class?
Five hours. Class begins at 10:00AM with a safety brief and review of fundamentals and moves to the range, concluding at 3:00PM, with a 15 minute lunch break.
Do I need my own pistol?
Yes, you must have your own semi-auto pistol to attend this class, as well as a holster, minimum 3 magazines and one magazine pouch.
Should I bring ammo?
You will need a minimum of 500 rounds of ammunition. More is better. Contact me for recommendations to purchase bulk ammunition.
What gear do I need?
You must have a holster, either AIWB or OWB — preferably Kydex molded to the specific make and model of your gun and a proper gun belt. You’ll need a speed loader, electronic ear and eye protection. Bring a baseball cap, water and some snacks.
Where are classes held?
Training is conducted at the Lebanon County Police Combat Pistol Club,1855 Russell Road, Lebanon, PA. Upon arrival your gun should be holstered or unloaded and cased.
What is the cost?
This 5-hour intensive pistol training for Advanced Beginners is $300. This includes range fee. Students are responsible for bringing 500 rounds of ammunition.
