Safety brief, review of four gun safety rules and range protocol. Demonstration and practice of basic gun handling skills including loading and unloading a handgun.

Demonstration and application of core shooting fundamentals including stance, grip, target focused aiming for irons or optics and trigger press for basic proficiency.

You’ll run live fire drills to teach you how to maintain proper grip and sight alignment to consistently acquire targets and hit accurately at different distances.

FAQs
How long is the class?
Two hours. Each class begins with a safety brief and review of fundamentals. Drills are selected to build foundational skills in grip and vision.
Do I need a pistol?
Yes, you must have your own semi-auto pistol to attend this class.
Should I bring ammo?
Yes, you will need a minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition. More is better.
What gear do I need?
Please bring a speed loader (I recommend Uplula), eye and electronic ear protection.
Where are classes held?
The one-hour private class is held at Philadelphia Training Academy (PTA), 831 Ellsworth Street, Philadelphia, PA.
What is the cost?
This one-hour experiential class is $150. This includes range fee.
