Review of gun safety rules and range safety brief and considerations for pistol selection.. Demonstration of basic gun handling skills including loading and unloading a handgun.

Demonstration and application of core shooting fundamentals including stance, grip, aiming with both irons and optics, trigger press, follow through and recovery.

Live fire with a variety of handguns suitable for sport, self-defense and CCW, including 9mm Glock 19 Gen 5, Glock 43x, S&W M&P 2.0 Compact, Sig Sauer P365, Ruger Mark IV .22 and S&W J Frame .38 Special.

FAQs
How long is the class?
One hour. The experiential class begins at 5:00PM with a safety brief and review of fundamentals.
Do I need my own pistol?
No, I will provide a selection of handguns for you to try, including 9mm, .22 and .38 caliber handguns.
Should I bring ammo?
Do not bring any ammunition. Ammunition and range fees are included in the cost of the class.
What gear do I need?
No gear is needed. Electronic ear protection and eye protection will be provided. You may want to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
Where are classes held?
The one-hour private class is held at Philadelphia Training Academy (PTA), 831 Ellsworth St., Phila., PA.
What is the cost?
This one-hour experiential class is $125 for one person, or $225 for two. This is all inclusive and covers all gear, from guns to electronic ear and eye pro, to range fee and 50 rounds of ammunition per person.
